For over 25 years Julie Rrap has been one of Australia's most prolific female artists, working mainly in video, photography and sculpture.
Few other Australian artists have been so obsessed with the nude human form, and Rrap often uses her own body in her work.
Julie Rrap's art explores many themes. She has a wicked sense of humour and often toys with gender roles, sexual attitudes, fetishes and death... Primarily she asserts the feminine presence, and shows how women react when they are treated as objects of voyeurism by men and the media.
